Public invited to email comments for Wednesday SVVSD school board meeting

The St. Vrain Valley school board will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday with only board members, the superintendent and the deputy superintendent in attendance.

For the first board meeting since Gov. Jared Polis prohibited gather more than 10 people during the coronavirus epidemic, members of the public will not be able to participate in person.

Instead, they can email questions or comments through the form at svvsd.org/node/160506 to be read by board members during the meeting. The deadline to send question is noon Tuesday. Messages must be able to be read in three minutes or less.

The agenda includes construction contract amendments, a recommendation to hire Sheridan School District assistant principal Jennifer Webster as the new Burlington Elementary principal, and a new policy allowing board members to participate in meetings remotely.

The meeting is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. and can be viewed live at longmontpublicmedia.org/watch/. A video of the meeting is expected to be available to view by noon Thursday at svvsd.org.
