Attention Homes: Needs several in-kind supply donations to help with COVID relief efforts. Meals for delivery at Attention Home locations or drop off a nonperishables such as canned and dry goods. Also accepting stable fruit such as bananas, clementine’s, oranges and apples as well as paper products and cleaning supplies like Lysol wipes and hand sanitizer. Attention Homes is located at 1440 Pine Street, Suite A in Boulder. Drop off supplies from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday in the hallway with no contact. In light of the coronavirus, Emergency Family Assistance Association’s food bank has switched to a grab and go model. Donations will be accepted during normal food bank hours. Our needs are canned proteins (beans, tuna, etc), canned fruit, breakfast cereal, dry spaghetti, nonperishable food items, clorox wipes, household cleaning supplies, N95 facemasks, paper towels, dish soap, laundry detergent, shampoo, feminine hygiene products and toilet paper. Thorne Nature Center: Volunteer with Thorne Nature Experience and help small groups of children explore natural areas around Boulder. Topics include birds, insects, survival skills, fishing, art, hiking, and more. Thorne is seeking volunteers for both summer and fall programs. Training is provided. Circle of Care Volunteer Orientation: Come learn more about how you can enjoy free concert tickets when you escort seniors in our community to performing arts events. Events are at 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23, March 26, April 30, May 21 and June 21 at the Boulder Public Library Main Branch. The Boulder Walk to End Alzheimer’s seeks volunteers to join the 2020 Walk Planning Committee. Choose to work on logistics, recruitment, retention, sponsorship or mission sub-committee. New members are welcome. Meetings are held from 6-8 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 715 Cabrini Dr. in Lafayette on the first Thursday of each month starting March 5.
