Advanced Urgent Care & Occupational Medicine in Broomfield, on Wednesday began offering drive-thru testing for COVID-19.
The clinic at this time is not accepting doctors’ notes to provide testing, and instead is requiring an online or phone visit with a health care provider. To schedule an online assessment, go to advurgent.com or call 303-558-0509 to talk with a provider.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has published a symptom checker, an interactive tool to help people determine if they are having symptoms related to COVID-19 and how they should proceed, including if they need testing.
Jaimyn Taylor, director of business development with Advanced Urgent Care, said the main office is open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week. During that time, patients can schedule an appointment over the phone or online.
During screenings, a provider will ask questions about symptoms, exposure to the virus, check on how patients are feeling and determine the next step, which could include testing. The Broomfield curbside swab testing site will be open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday at 3950 W. 144th Ave.
Providers will follow-up with patients once results come in, which typically takes two to five business days, and continue to check on patients with online visits as needed, Taylor said. People could be directed to go to the emergency room or continue to self isolate and recover at home.
The clinic is taking “pretty much any commercial insurance” right now, which covers COVID-19 tests, Taylor said. The cost for online visits is determined by insurance providers, she said, and patients essentially are paying whatever co-pay they normally would for an urgent care visit. There also is a reduced-rate for uninsured individuals, along with other options, she said.
Wednesday the clinic administered about 15 tests, Taylor said Thursday, and “hopefully there are more today.”
Patients are asked to bring their driver’s licenses when they drive through. Testing is subject to supply and availability each day.
Advanced Care has two COVID-19 test suppliers, Taylor said, which have been good about keeping up with demand at the company’s five testing sites. Advanced Care hopes to open testing in Westminster next week and eventually offer it all of its seven north-metro Denver locations, she said.
“So far we’ve been able to test everyday at all of them,” Taylor said of the five clinics offering testing. “We want to continue that at all locations.”
