Community Action Program of Boulder County’s People Engaged in Raising Leaders is launching a boards and commissions training in collaboration with Social Ventures Partners throughout August.
Training classes will be held virtually via Zoom from 5:45-7 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays from Aug. 6-27. Interested parties should have access to a computer, the internet and Zoom.
Training sessions will cover topics including becoming a board member or commissioner, board member and commissioner responsibilities, cultural communication/effective communication, understanding financials, fundraising and philanthropy, as well as board applications and interviewing processes.
Class attendees will also have the opportunity to attend a meet-and-Ggreet and a boards fair with current leaders and board members.
All of the classes are free, although there are limited spots available.
