I-70 reopened at Vail Pass after closing due to crashes

There are multiple crashes on westbound I-70 near milepost 190

Adverse conditions forced a closure of Interstate 70 traveling west on Vail Pass due to multiple crashes just after 9 a.m.

The highway opened back up about an hour later. Officials still warn to drive with caution in the mountains early this week.

Snow will blanket Colorado for much of the next two days; snow could total 6 inches in valleys and 12 inches on the hills, with localized totals possibly exceeding a foot. The storm will not have as significant of an impact along the Front Range.
