The 4th of July Road will be closed Tuesday for resurfacing work, Boulder County announced on Wednesday.
The county reported that 4th of July Road would be shut down so that the Boulder County Public Works Road Maintenance Division could “safely and effectively” resurface the gravel on the road, according to a release. The paved portion of the road will not be impacted.
The closures will take place between Shelf Road and the Hessie Trailhead from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both directions on the road will be closed, but residents of Eldora will be allowed to access the area.
The county also reported that due to the confined work zone, no cars, bicycles or pedestrians will be allowed through, while work is ongoing.
