The 12th annual Celestial Seasonings B Strong Ride on Saturday funds a complete year of cancer care at the Center for Integrative Care at Boulder Community Health.

The ride, which is presented by Mike Shaw Subaru, includes more than 700 cyclists and four routes through Boulder County. All four ride options start and finish at Celestial Seasonings.

The Morning Thunder Mountain Loop is 68 miles through mountains north and west of Boulder starting at 7:30 a.m.; the Red Zinger Loop is 38 miles through ranches and farms north of Boulder starting at 8:30 a.m.; the Countryside Peach Passion Loop is 24 miles through rolling terrain north of Boulder starting at 9:30 a.m.; and the Sleepytime Mini B is a 1-mile loop on Celestial Seasonings campus for children 10 and under starting at noon.

There will be no road closures on Saturday, and the traffic impact is expected to be minimal.

There will be a post-ride party at Celestial Seasonings occurring throughout the day, including live music from Jakarta, Oskar Blues beer, and food at no charge for riders provided by Mateo, Raglin Market, KT’s BBQ, Snarf’s, Rio Grande, Rush Bowls, Chicken Jack’s and Cyclhops. Families and non-riders are invited to post-ride festivities.

Event participants can register on-site at Celestial Seasonings the day of the event. Fees are $95 for adults and $55 for students and riders under age 18. Registration for the Mini B is $10.

Packet pick-up is available from 4-6:30 p.m. on Friday at the Celestial Seasonings Café or from 6:30-10 a.m. the day of the race.

Founded in 2011, B Strong Ride has had more than 8,500 riders raising more than $3.5 million for local cancer charities to date.

“Celestial Seasonings strives to make a positive impact on our community and to support a cause that touches the lives of so many,” said Tim Collins, general manager. “We’re honored to be the title sponsor and host of the B Strong Ride that supports great local organizations whose mission is aligned with our commitment to helping people live healthier and happier lives.”
